What to Expect

When you notify World Wide Mediclaim Services that you intend to submit a claim for the travel insurance policy you purchased, a file will be opened on your behalf.

A claim form will be forwarded to you for completion and return. Depending on your province or territory of ordinary residence, and the type of insurance for which you are making a claim - out-of-province medical, trip cancellation, baggage, or other - you may receive more than one form to complete.

It is important that you understand your claim cannot be processed until all the requested information has been received. This includes the original, itemized bills for the expenses incurred and documentation from all other sources.

If you, a traveling companion, or a family member of either, have a pre-existing medical condition, further information may be required to ensure that your claim is in keeping with the terms and conditions of the policy you purchased.

In the event medical expenses are incurred out of your home province, World Wide Mediclaim Services will submit your bills to the Provincial Government Healthcare Plan on your behalf.

If your claim is not eligible for payment, a letter of explanation will be forwarded to you.
